I have a set that you can use for everything. I use them mostly for online play. If I am staying up late, or bothering somebody with the noise, then I use them for offline and T.V.
Since i got my new pair of AD-700 headphones I use my headphones most of the time while gaming as well as anything else involving sound on my computer at my desk as my creative 5.1 speakers sound bad in comparison. The onkyo 5.1 sound system i have in the living room i only use the speakers their as they actually sound decent.
