I haven't seen one of these threads in a while, and I'm curious as to how the "browser wars" are having an impact on users.

If you use a web browser I haven't listed please post it.

Oh, and not to advertise, but if you're using IE 6 or 7, you should really give Firefox 3 a shot. You'll be surprised at how much faster it is. Plus, it has robust security.

Firefox 3 may not have as many of those nice little features as Opera, but its definetely the fastest and safest w/ the biggest amount of plug-ins, add-ons and themes. It's seriously amazing how much faster it is than IE.

Anything is safer than IE7.

I am however still on IE7(been an IE user ever since I started to use the internet anyways) with the IE7Pro extension. Works as well as FF2, but I am here waiting for the final release of FF3.

I am still using IE7. I don't like the way FF gradually loads pages and the way scrolling webpages is never as smooth as in IE. I also prefer the tab system in IE7 and IE also offers more options by default.

I used opera for a while, but have moved to using only Firefox.

The last time I checked, FF did not have the Walnut theme for FF3, so until they have something similar, I am sticking with FF2.

It'll probably be a few months before FF3 has the community/support of FF2. I think FF is going to have a lot more competition this time around since it looks like IE might be getting its act together this time and both Opera and Safari are gaining ground. If FF can take over the mobile market, Mozilla could stand to make massive profits (just think how many iPhone users there are).

FF2, I love my Plug-ins and add-ons (NoScript, AdBlock Plus, and Flash Block FTW!).

Isn't FF3 only in Beta phase right now?

Waiting for Firefox 3 to go final before I go with it. I still end up having to use IE for a few sites that don't work anywhere else. but those happen seldom now. Though if Safari could use extensions like Fx could, I'd go to those fairly quickly.

No, they have come across a few serious bugs which they need to sort out before they can properly release it.

i've used firefox before, but i changed back to IE7 once i got vista. i took the TC's advice and just honestly tried it. when i told it to import my homepage(s) it only brought over one.

is there a way in firefox to have multiple homepages? when i open my IE7, 5 tabs automatically open. can i do that with FF?

With FF open to the tabs you want to open when it opens, go to tools. Then options, make sure it is on Main Page tab. Then under Home Page, click on the Use Current Pages button, and eveytime you start it up, it should come up with all those tabs.

This is for FF2, it might work in FF3, but I don't know.

i think that requires an addon

You don't need anything.

Example Below(put it in your homapage textbox located on your preference)

http://www.yahoo.com/|http://www.gamespot.com/|http://www.google.com

As you can see, they are separated by this "|" without the quotes.

I use firefox 2, it's more stable than IE that used to crash when downloading lots, and firefox 3 wasn't compatible with my add-ons. I might change back to IE though cause of the pro add-on, it lets you auto-refresh a tab at what eva time interval you want.

There's a version of Opera Mobile for Blackberries? I could see one running Opera Mini 4, but to my knowledge, Opera Mobile was only available for Windows Mobile and Symbian, with only the WM version of OM9 having been leaked. In any case, I hope it works out great on that phone, since I've seen the default Blackberry Web browser on the most recent models in action and was promptly disgusted by the results.

my Firefox 3 is damn fast, and very neat and easy to use, no weird rows of buttons and useless features like on my Mom's Yahoo browser :D
