So I got rid of the old 7900gs and got the new 8800gt, but, there's not much ofan increase in performance at all really. I've got the most up to date drivers, turned the fan speed up to 50% and I have a 750 watt psu so I know it's getting eneough power. I also have a C2D 6600 @ 2.4 ghz and 2 gigs of ram so I know the rest of my system is good. Shouldn't I be getting a lot more than 31 fps on Bf2142 and 22fps on SW: Empire at War? I'm just so frustrated with this thing!

Oh yeah, I didnt uninstall the old 7900gs drivers before putting in the 8800gt, so I uninstalled the 8800gt then reinstalled them again, and it's the same.

Completely remove every Nvidia drivers you have installed and then re-install with the latest one. If that still doesn't work, the problem isn't with your card.

Mostly drivers conflict. Make sure to only install the latest one.

RMA = Return Merchandise Authorization.

In simpler words, replacing your current card with a new one(not refurbished).

I think BFG had quite a few bad cards.
