Have any of you guys owned these or seen them in action? I was wondering if I should pic one of these up so it is easier to stream crap from my computers to my tv.

Haven't used it, but I see no point. My TV comes with a inbuilt media-centre, just gotta connect it to network.

Also a PS3 or a 360 can stream aswell.

yeah but neither of them support wmv and mkv with out a certain codec conversion or a media server program popcorn hour supports all video codecs

I would use a program like PS3 media server or I would connect a PC directly to your TV. If you are going for .mkv files, I have to assume that you are wanting to watch HD movies and such. Many 1080p .mkv movies are encoded with high bitrates which these can't handle. It will be able to handle many... but not all. PS3 Media Server works well for 1080p if you have a quad-core processor. Otherwise, connect your PC to your TV directly and get CoreAVC video decoder.

ps3 media server likes to cut off the the subtitles in movies as well as some other parts of the picture it also doesnt support wmv. I basically do all of that already and its a huge hassle
