Awesome game! No flaws worth mentioning. I was a big fan of the first game, and I don't know why more people weren't. I tried to explain it to people who I'd have thought would like it, but their eyes would glaze over, like "OK...". Oh well- their loss!

The second game picks up right where the other left off, with a little bit of a reminder as to how everything worked. Then it continues with the great sarcastic humor and perfectly thought-out challenges that just builds upon itself so cleverly in every way. Great setting, great voice acting, great puzzles, great sound, great story... Great production values all around, period. I found myself playing like I wanted to finish it fast, just to prove to myself that I was smart enough to do it quickly. Now, I am sad to see its over.

Then today, I finished the co-op mode, and it was even better! As I mentioned before, none of my friends wanted to give this game a shot, so I needed a partner. Everyone (including the game itself) warns you to play the co-op mode with a really good friend to ensure you have a really good experience. However, after three tries, I was able to randomly land an awesome partner through the match-up system. We were both using microphones, which I highly recommend. Together, we beat everything in a few hours, with us taking turns coming up with solutions and great ideas. A puzzle would befuddle us every now and again, but then, through some serious head scratching, we were able to pull it off every time.

We both liked the co-op mode the best. It was more enjoyable with a partner, and extremely well crafted. Whether you're figuring something out, or your partner is, or you both get by a tough puzzle together... The sense of accomplishment or satisfaction is like a drug! You just don't want it to end.

But even though it does, I'd still give it 5 stars.

If you happen to not have heard about portal 2, I recommend watching the trailer:

Please share your opinions about the game.

I give it 10/10 but I didn't really like the co-op. It just took too much coperation for my liking

Not my kind of game. I find it repetitive and somewhat boring. Well this is my impression from the first Portal...

As someone who did not really like the first one, Portal 2 is a blast. The puzzles are a lot better and more varied.

I don't see what that has to do with 2 but ok. It's Valve's best game, the first game that's close to perfection and this is what Portal should have been, because I thought 1 was pure garbage, by far the worst Valve made and one of the most mediocre games in years, it only had one level and a boss fight the rest was a simple tutorial, even modders made a way better job at it, good thing they didn't pull the same stuff in 2, superb soundtrack, atmosphere, art style, funny plot (actually funny, not just a "cake is a lie" thrown out there for the masses to fill the internet with) and multiplayer was flawless. Can't wait for the new DLC and some decent mods.

Yeah, I played the coop with my girlfriend and it was a blast. Really looking forward to the DLC, hope they add some new coop maps and also streamline the process of playing custom maps.

It is definitely an amazing game, and pretty unique to boot (first-person action puzzle game). Excellent use of physics and a neat mechanic (portals).

I still have not finished it, to my infinite disappointment. I think I am close to the end, though.

Ownsin

So you found the first game repetative and boring, and assume the second one is like that? People these days.

I'm 10 hours into the single player now, I don't know if I'm slow (lol). Or not but it's such an increadible game. I'm going to play the witcher 2 after I beat portal 2, but for now it's a one of a kind experience. Level design is oustF*standing. Visuals still hold up well. Audio is terrific, voice acting is the best the industry has thrown at me yet, and the story is immersive. I also loved how the music worked to the games immersion. It's a game that actually gives a story that feels like a story in a game! (get it). Valve I love you!

Best game? IMO no, it's a excellent game imo, but not among the best ever, the game lacks variety in the late game from a graphical standpoint and gameplay one as well, it's a 9 out of 10, the changes made were minor imo, but overall it's a better game then the last one buy only by a small margin.

I'm loving it. Finished the SP in 14 hrs (call me slow) and am in the forth chapter in the coop with my son. I can't say it's the best ever cause there is no such thing but it is among my favorites of all time. Just sayin'.

Portal 2 is perfection in all ways, it really does have everything needed to give it a 10/10 for me.

One negative thing is that the puzzles are to easy the 2nd negative thing is that there is a limited ways to solve most of the puzzles (put on white spot and put on another white spot on a wall where there are no other locations.
