I have a P5K Asus MOBO, it has 4 slots for RAM, what's the best positioning for my 2gigs, I have both in position 1 and 3, (let's say the mobo it's in front, and the sequence it's 1,2,3,4, according to the mobo manual, the configuration should be like I mentioned above, is this true? Can I get dual channel RAM? I am fully using all the potential of my RAM, latency: 5,5,5,15, I already have it 1064 MHZ, (overclocked my E6750 to 3.4ghz) Can you guys help? or is better to place both sticks together?

They have to be in lanes 1 and 3 to be dual channel. 1 and 2 correspond to one channel, and 3 and 4 correspond to the other.

Let's say you have the modules in the right slots, must Dual Channel be activated via the BIOS or is it an automatic process?

It should work automatically.

I have seen a few mobo's that Dual channel is 1 and 2, then 3 and 4. There arent many, but there are some. Dual channel should be automatically detected when you have the sticks in Dual channel slots. Obviously if you have 4 sticks of the same size you wont have to worry about it.
