Here is some footage, possibly of Alan Wake - which I was certain was going to be a TPS!!
Have a look. Let us discuss this.

good god....... the 1st actual gameplay footage after what? 2 years of development? the fact that it still exists startles me more than its being a fps.
Jumping in the Penumbra and Cryostasis bandwagon, eh?BarangaAlan Wake has been in development since at least 2006.

And everything hinted it was a 3rd person game.
It's safe to presume they "revisited" the concept. Could be a reson for the gigantic delay.
BTW, Penumbra was originally a 2006 tech-demo so awesome that the Internet demanded a full game.

Crap, and I was excited for this...Baranga
Same here, I think I'd prefer it as first person :D Third person can work though, e.g. Max Payne, Lost Planet worked well, Gears, etc, but in general I nearly always prefer first person. I found the same information Krayzie posted though.
How about this Redwood Falls PS3 game though, it didn't look so bad, with some cool billowing/blowing snow effects going, it felt quite atmospheric....and cold. A name like Redwood Falls makes me think it would have some mystery involved in the plot...coooool (there's some movie am I'm similarly thinking of, something Falls, hmmm). Not sure about it's stage in development, or how it was developed for possibly portability to the PC, but how about a PC release? Maybe someone like City Interactive could pick it up, ok...will never happen.
