found the other day that when i downloaded things and tried to install i would get errors that looked something like 0e8070005 or varients. i decided to wipe my harddrive and do a clean install of windows 7, installed all the drivers off the motherboard disk & gpu disk that came with my pc. i soon found that internet explorer would not let me download anything, whatever i tried to download would either be corrupted or have invalid/or no digital signature so that was that. i also cant do windows updates, some worked but others including w7 sp1 would not download/install and would give similar errors as to why they didnt download (error on first line of the post). i tried again today and got opera to download, tested on some downloads such a CCleaner and steam and they downloaded ok, but again with all the errors for other things, NCIS error is common now, along with the invalid signature, those windows updates still wont download. cant even download a program to test for defects in my HD because of errors. thinking about doing a clean install 1 more time and then if the problems persist sending it back. any have any other ideas? thank you!

I am no expert but what I would do is do a clean reinstall, ie backup data elsewhere, and format the disk.

Normally those errors are a result of bad drivers.

Ok thank you, what does formatting the disk do? am I supposed to select that when I insert my windows disk? before I have clicked delete to wipe everything then install, never understood formatting.

Download HD Tune. See if you have any SMART errors or bad sectors.

^^ Follow his advice, formatting clears all your disc partitions, and if you want you can make different partitions in the process.

See if it do any error : but a clean format could help if it detect any error : RMA the Hdd or buy a new one for like 40$ lol
