Possible MGS ports comming to Steam?

According to a poster at NeoGAF (Which has been hit or miss for many, many rumors,) another poster had revealed why we haven't heard much about MGS Rising. Its been handed over to Platinum Games!

"Finally, PC *PORTS* of MGS1, MGS2, MGS3 and MGS4 are bound to be released digitally via Valve's e-Commerce portal Steam"

I have been dying for someone to do this, and Steam (STEAM) They are my first choice!

I hope this ends up being real, I would buy the whole 4 pack for Xmas, or Summer Sale or something! Got a controller, mouse keyboard, pc ready..

I won't be suprised if this is the last we ever hear of it though ...

sounds too good to be true, i would buy them all day 1 but again i bet on my entier Steam library (156 games) that there is noway they port MGS3 and MGS4 to PC, we already have the 1st two but again no way in hell they port the 3rd and 4th

Well steam is on PS3 too now, so maybe they will be available on Steam for the PS3? That would seem more likely, but it would be nice if there was truth behind this rumour.

STEAM is NOT available for the PS3.

STEAMWORKS is; Cloud Servers, PC to PS3 Compatibility, VALVE PS3 to PC Free Games.

Well steam is on PS3 too now, so maybe they will be available on Steam for the PS3? That would seem more likely, but it would be nice if there was truth behind this rumour.

i am extremely picky when it comes to buying games but i would buy the four-pack so fast. it would seriously make my year if this was true but i am definitely not getting my hopes up.

That's the one I would also look most forward to as I already played the others. But I also think that this is too good to be true.

If it does happen, I have a feeling it'll be a poorly done port that'll sell because of the name and a Steam deal.

I was following the rumor up until they said "MGS4". MGS 4 on PC sounds... very, very doubtful. If they were going to port that game over to any system, it would've made its way to Xbox 360 a long time ago.

I hope I'm wrong, but I really don't think we're going to see MGS4 ported to PC. And I'd be surprised if MGS3 will be either.

If it happens at all, I expect it would just be the already available MGS and MGS2.

Steam isn't on PS3. Portal 2 has Steamworks integration for updates, Steam friends, cross-platform play etc.

Seems a rather strange time to do it, but cool for people who haven't played them.

I mean, they're currently porting over MGS3 onto the 3DS, and they'd want to be building up hype for the new multiplat MGS, so now would be the perfect time to port the last two to PC, too.

I can't decide whether that's a good thing or not. On one hand, more games (esp. a great series) = good... on the other, I already have MSG1 and MSG2 on PC, neither of which work on modern hardware. I'm not inclined to spend money on those games again. flipin_jackass

Still a great thing though, lets people that otherwise never got to play them, or want to play them on pc that do not have them....

Oh I have skipped the past couple of E3 things,... This year I am looking forward to getting a Wii2 as well as try to get more info on this MGS port craziness! (So I think I will tune in this year)

Be most interested in 2 & 4. Those are meant to be the best. I don't know how I would take to the oriental brand of storytelling, like firing people out of cannons etc lol. biggest_loser

3 is by far the best in the series. Good for those that have yet to play them. I already have the whole collection.

It would be great to see MGS4 on PC, but I'm a bit skeptical that it will happen.

I could see and would love if Metal Gear Solid 1-3 was ported to the computer. Metal Gear Solid 4 on the other hand...well I just think that game would be rediculiously hard to port given the Cell's architecture but who knows. :P

I played and finished MGS2 on PC, with a controller. In fact it was a PS2 pad with the USB adaptor.

The 1st and 3rd are by faaar the best.

The second had that gay prick Raiden, so I'd say it's the worst, while the 4th's story got overly complicated and made zero sense in the end, riddled with plot holes
