Potentially best thing about SteamOS

Since SteamOS is based on linux and will likely be open that means that there is great potential in the OS. From game developers to gamers making their own consoles. But the best thing that could likely come from all this is EMULATORS!! From NES to PS2 all easily installed on a linux based platform. What are your thoughts?

best bit of steam os is getting a cheap 1080p laptop, hooking it up to my tv and being able to stream my games from my main PC.

Yes thats what I'm saying. SteamOS is based on GNU/Linux so whats stopping us clever gamers from installing emulators on SteamOS. Not only do you get Steam games but you get all the other systems too.

There's nothing stopping you, that's the thing. Do it if you want because you can, same way you can use emulators in Windows as well, it's just an OS after all.

Yea there are devices, but I already have the laptop so its free. plus playing on said laptop from PC... in bed, always nice.
