I can get this power supply from my work for $87.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817331002

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if this is a good power supply.  I prefer a modular cable design and since this has 620 watts it think $87 is a good deal.

Also, I went to the forums page and tried to log on and it said password invalid and i had to sign up all over, what is up with that?

I can log in just fine. About the power supply: I'd say go for it if you can get it for $40 less.

2 Things:

Aerocool is a mediocre brand. Also, modular cables aren't that great, since they have less conductivity than continuous cables, and are more prone to breaking. However, they do improve cable management.

I wouldnt do an Aerocool PSU. They are so-so. Look towards Antec, Enermax, Corsair, OCZ or Silverstone, there are others too, but those are some of the tops. The PSU, is the most important part of the system, the heart of the rig.

There is also no active PFC in that AeroCool.

For $85 I would get the OCZ GameXstream 600w
