I just got a new computer from Ibuypower a few weeks ago. Upgraded from a P42.6 to a core2 E6600. Threw in a 8800GTS and a good motherboard, 2gigs of ram, a 700watt PSU and the price wasn't bad. They did a good job on the install and I had them do the professional wiring so everything is well organized and airflow is good.

Alternative to Ibuy I have also heard that Vigor makes a good computer at a decent price too...

Ask your Dad to look around for places that will put together the parts that you order. Best Buy is said to do for $100 or where ever because you will get a killer rig that you can upgrade yourself. I built this computer (my first) in 2 hours, but this is the best way for you to get a great gaming machine for the cheapest price since your Father will not let you build your own rig.roulettethedog
as said either do that or just buy one.. i would suggest u buy parts and put togather cause it be way cheaper then buything a hot gameing pc... like as i know $500 can get u a smokin machine

Most barebones come with a PSU though. In case of high end components, you may need to remove and upgrade the PSU.
