Fallout is nice.
I'd recommend TES IV: Oblivion, but I don't think ur card can handle it.
Probably Diablo or something, or go with bojangles' recommendation of KOTOR. Buy it in a five pack with the Best of PC pack, 5 games, real nice deal for $30.
You might try an FPS/RPG hybrid like System Shock 2 or Deus Ex. They're old enough that they would probably run fine on your PC, and they are great games. Bioshock (a spiritual sequel to system shock 2) is also coming out soon, so you might want to see what all the fuss was about. As far as Deus Ex is concerned, make sure you get the original game and no Invisible War. DXIW was a crappy game.
A good turn based strategy/rpg game that recently (a week ago) came out is UFO: Extraterrestrials. Graphics are 2D and look like 3 years old but the gameplay is awesome. It's not like the graphics suck though. They are pretty good for 2D graphics and they give me that nostalgia feeling of playing other classic RPG games, like Fallout. The gameplay is like from the other UFO games so if you liked those games, you'll probably like this one also.
I'll explain the basics of the game. There is a huge globe of a planet. You can build multiple bases across the globe. You can build multiple structure types in the bases, which allow you to do different stuff like building weapons, research technology, create fighter/transport planes, build defenses, etc. An UFO will randomly appear across the globe, you have to send in fighters to intercept it. If you don't intercept the UFO it will usually just leave into space. If you shoot it down above land or it lands and the aliens build a base, you have to send in a transport with your soldiers. Then the surface combat will begin and that's where the turn based strategy kicks in. There are some RPG elements like leveling up your soldiers, giving them new guns, etc. So far I haven't given them a chance to build a base so I've no idea what happends when they do build one.
Knights of the Old Republic is problably the best RPG to come out in the past few years, imo. A must have if you are even casually into RPGs, and its easy enough to get into and deep enough to satisfy you the whole way through. The sequal offers better gameplay imo, but the story isnt as good and story is incredibly important in an RPG.mrbojangles25
When anyone is actually aware that their PC has poor graphics, the chances are very high that they have a sorry onboard IGP from Intel. Only the X3000 IGP has T&L, which KotOR requires. Generally speaking, KotOR does poorly with most onboard video chips.
Incidentally, for the past 7-8 years, PC versions of RPGs have tended to be Real-Time, not turn-based. You have to go back to games that barely run in Windows to find very many. Baldur's Gate could be paused, but the control system was awkward to me; the last three good Might and Magic games ( MM6, MM7, & MM8 ) had a choice between real-time and turn-based, but they really need Windows98 and don't mix well with WindowsXP .
You might enjoy the Jagged Alliance games.
Not completely RPG I guess... more a turn based strategy / squad game with rpg elements lol
