I picked it up and I can't see why people hated it so much. Granted I wasn't into PC/360 games when it was released so don't know much of the hype before it's release.
I got it because it actually costs less than if I were to buy a bus ticket to go into town to see if there's a better deal.
It's pretty hard to argue with $5. That's cheaper than most bargain bin games or console rentals for what is by most accounts a pretty good (but not great) game.
If i can't convince you that buying a game for the price of a taco bell chalupa is worth it, then i don't know what the hell will. I got mine with no regrets
Prey is quite a fun game. It runs great on mid system and the graphics is cool. Just don't get too excited by the whole portal thing because it is really not that special. Think of it as a generic shooter and you won't be disappointed.
