My printer (Konica Minolta Di2010f) is leaving streaks like this: http://img607.imageshack.us/i/img1874c.jpg/

Ignore the dark shape on the paper - it's from my hands XD. But you can see the horizontal streaks across the whole page.

The toner is about half full and I don't think the drum has ever been replaced (after a few years). What do you think is causing this problem and will it be worth it to fix? The turqoise cylinder is the drum.

Some more pictures:

Appears to need a good cleaning and the rollers rejuvenated. You will probablyneed the manual to ensure you get everywhere required. Pictures are worth a thousand words after you strip down and remove most of the parts. Good to "see" where the lock clip is supposed to be rather than putting it where you "think" looks good. A repair facility will charge goo money for this dirty job.

Brush your finger across the page after it prints. Does any of the toner come off the paper? If so, you're probably dealing with a dying fuser. On the other hand, your drum does look awfully dirty. I never understand when companies make toner and drums separate consumables :( With a printer like that, it probably is worth at least looking into fixing it though. I new laser printer of that size can be incredibly costly.

Should I bother replacing the drum? A genuine drum unit will cost around $100-150 to replace. Another option would be to buy a new printer for $500-700 since this one is 7 years old and other parts will wear out or require maintenance.

The drum "looks" fine, however it is rather dirty. After a good cleaning check the results, replace only if required. If parts are required compare total cost of repairs with no warranty and a new machine WITH warranty. Pouring more than half the replacement cost into a repairis usually not a good idea.

Thanks for the help - I'll try and clean the printer then. Is a toner vacuum necessary? Will I be able to do a thorough enough job with isoprohyl alchol, brush, toner cloth, and cotton swabs?

Toner vacuum not required unless you already have one or can borrow one. Cleaning with the materials you have suggested will do a good job, not as good as a skilled service technician with all the tools and equipment(unless you havelots of practice)but should show great improvement. Be sure to check the toner cartridge for damage and clean as well, replace if required. Throwing the cost of cleaning supplies at the machine is well worth it. Compressed air will help as well, just keep your face well back or it could become exciting, toner does not wash off well.
