Problem with Command and Conquer Tiberium wars..any help?

I got a Problem with Command and Conquer Tiberium wars. It says im not meeting the miimum requrements or sumthing and i dont got directX9.0

so im a complete noob and i just go the game

so wtf do i do

do i have to buy directX from somewhere or what??

 downloaded direct x but it still wont work

when i start the game a thing pops up and says

make sure u have directx 9 installed or higher and make sure your video card meets the minimum requrements and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in display control panel

well i think i fixed the direct x problem but i dunno what my video card is like my compl is like 2 yr old so its not that crappy

any help..?
