Problem with HDTV as monitor.

I just got a new PC game (Hearts of Iron 3). I start the game and it always crashes to the desktop when it's done loading. I know what the problem is but I don't know how to fix it.

My computer is currently hooked up to my TV. When I hooked up my old computer monitor the game ran fine. So it has something to do with running the game on my TV that causes it to crash to desktop.

Any tips on what the problem could be. I have already tried changing the resolution to the same as what was set on my PC monitor.

It could be refresh rate, or the Hz your TV is operating in.

i play on an hd tv. usually it is the refresh rate.. most tvs are just 60.. most monitors are 75.. hook it back to monitor and change the games refresh rate. or just change it in the games config file
