Okay, so here's the deal. My computer, which isn't even that old, has started to screw up. It will go into the BIOS just fine, but it won't boot into Windows at all. No matter how many times I try, this keeps happening over and over. Sometimes the hard drive won't even show up in the BIOS menu. Most times it does. I've tried switching the SATA cable from the hard drive to another port on the mobo, and that worked for a few days, but now it doesn't. Any ideas on what might be wrong with it? Any additional info needed, I can post.

One way If you have the computer book is to look for the cmos location on your motherboard and make sure the computer is unpluged then follow the instructions in the book on how to clear the cmos with the jumper. When the cmos is cleared it returns to defualt.

Hmm, clearing the CMOS didn't seem to help.

Any other suggestions?

What is the last thing that comes up on your screen? Does it get to the point where it would normally go to the hard drive and then boot? (but just not boot)

It gets to Windows XP, on the screen that says 'Windows XP did not shut down properly' blah blah, and no matter how I choose to start Windows, it will just freeze up at that screen.

I would say a good chace your drive died, or at best is corrupted. Try booting the windows install cd and do a repair install, or re-install windows.
