My wife has just recently informed me that when her Toshiba laptop's screen's colors become distorted after the battery dies, but are fine after she reboots or is plugged in. I have search the net for an answer but cant find one. ANY help would be great.

I don't fully understand.

You say the problem only occurs when the battery dies, but when you plug the laptop into the mains the problem goes away?

Therefore.... if the battery is dead the laptop will be off, and if its plugged into the mains the issue is none existant.

Sounds like the problem is solved! Make sure the battery doesn't die :) Seriously though, you should ask a PC question in the PC hardware forum. You'll get more replies.
