How do I display the game in fullscreen? Whenever I start Crysis, it runs in a window instead of the whole screen. Also how do I get better performance from the game? I run it with everything set to high, no AA, at 1366x768 resolution(HDTV's native). My specs include an E6750 at stock speed, Evga superclocked 8800GT 512mb, and 2GB of ram and I only get 10-20 fps. I know that the game can perform better than that with my video card; what am I doing wrong?

right click on the crysis tab down in the taskbar and left click maximize. Also try running with 1024 by 768. also if your running vista, run the game in dx9 mode rather than dx10. like 5 to 10 frames per sec better.

No, you need to go into the 'Game Settings' menu and check the 'Fullsceeen' box. I have this problem and it's pretty annoying.

I have vista 64bit and will try running it in DX9 for better performance. Why should I run it at 1024x768? I should at least be able to run it in 720p with my video card, right?

I checked the fullscreen box in the game settings menu but it just made the window larger and got rid of the taskbar at the bottom. I want the top portion of the window gone too.

Hmm, that's odd. It should put it into fullscreen. Try DX10 mode and see if it does the same thing?

Okay I got the screen straight by playing with the resolution. Now I have to run the game at 1366x768(HDTV's native resolution) in order to keep the game running in fullscreen. I still get the 10-20 fps when playing in high settings. Could it be my video cards drivers? I here other people getting 25-40 fps on very high settings in 1024x760 with the 8800gt. Hell I should at least get those fps at my resolution and on high settings.

Get the lastest nvidia drivers, I have the 8800GTS 640mb and run the game at 20-30fps with high settings at 1280x768 res. Albeit I have my card heavily overclocked but it still doesn't perform as good as a 8800GT 512mb superclocked.

ALT+ENTER to switch between windowed and fullscreen mode. Works for almost every windows program.

I installed the drivers from the cd that came with the video card, isn't that good enough? If not, then what do I do? I just go to the nvidia website and download the latest drivers from there?

right click your crisis icon and click properties > run scroll down menu should have windowed/Full screen. if not try going into properties > compatability and check there.

Try out the 169.21 drivers from here or maybe some other 169 driver. My crysis performance also decreased switching from 169.21 to 169.25 so i went back to 169.21 although it was no way near that bad.

You did get the right drivers for your OS right, because I'm playing the game perfectly fine on vista with the 169.25 drivers. Plus you have got to remove the old drivers first did you do that?

Ive mentioed this in couple threads. 169.25 is ****y driver. Try to roll back to 169.21 which is the best so far.

There's a ForceWare 169.28 beta driver available for 64 bit vista should I try that, or just get the 169.21 drivers?

Just try the 169.21 drivers as they have been proven to work by everyone. I never realised people had trouble with the .25 drivers I have had no problems running crysis with them.

I also have no problem running crysis with it until i ran the benchmark and realized my average has fallan by 3fps.You may also check the 169.21 to get some extra fps in crysis.;)
