hey, recently i formatted my computer ( vista home premium 32bit) and to format tutorial said leave the product key area blank which i did and blahblhablha, everything went fine. But now its saying i must activate windows within 30 days and i thought meh ill do it on the 30th day. Now the 30th day has come and when i enter my product key it says, this can only be used for upgrading. Then when i enter it again, it says its already in use, so i tried sending Msoft and email and it asks me to enter product key, so i enter my cd key and it says i cant use it and thats its not valid

someone help please

Let me get this straight - if you bought an upgrade Vista dvd you can never do a reformat/clean install because your key is for upgrade only? If that is true that incredibly bad. Especially considering how often Windows screws up!

Never screws up on me, and all my games work perfect, and this is true all the way back to the Win98 days.
