So I start up a new character, getting to level 8 as an Undead Warlock, okay? So far, things have been going great with my imp.
My problems started once I first talk with the Pet Trainer in Brill. Having reached 8th level, I decide to splurge a bit on grimoires to upgrade my Imp. So, I plonk down nearly a silver each to buy the Grimoires for Immolate (level 2) and Dark Pact (level 1). Now, the rollover instructions suggest that I just "use" the grimoires and, with my Imp right next to me, everything should be fine, right? Wrong.
First, the demon's grimoire does not update; all I can see is the Immolate (level 1) spell. Must be a random bug, right? Stupidly, I spend another 2 silvers on the grimoires, trying to repeat the learning. However, there's no go; the imp simply won't learn the new spells.
What's worse is that the Imp's programming is now defective. Instead of going out and chasing my enemies, the Imp just sits there at my side, acting like he doesn't want to work. While I can directly order him to launch an Immolate, and he does move forward and attack, the Imp will then immediately run back to my side, a ticked-off mob right behind him.
Can anyone offer any ideas as to what may have happened? Yes, the "Defensive" (not "Passive") marker is on, as is the "Follow" button, so that's not the issue.
Ok when you click on the special action bar of the imp(the small one) Right(or left click) the box of its firebolt, when it glows your imp will shoot firebolts until his mana gets too low, since your keeping him on defensive this is the only problem I think you have.
2nd Immolate is a warlock spell, the imp majore offensive spell is Firebolt, you can find it next to his mini bars. So your confusing between the two.
