So I have limited cash and I plan to upgrade my pc. I'm noob at this and have no idea which upgrade is better for my gaming. I plan to upgrade my Intel core 2 duo 4400@2.00GHz to some quad core processor. I also plan to upgrade my 2GB RAM to 4GB. So which do I upgrade first? Detailed answers will deeply be appreciated!

your cpu is getting long in the tooth. if anything id see if your motherboard can overclock and treat you cpu to that and say add 1gb of ram. while replacing it with a core 2 quad would be a huge improvement. i would at least want to look into overclocking before i touched paying for serious hardware. as for the memory yes 4gb is a good sized gain but unless you have a 64-bit os you wont hear from it much and 3gb is supported by any 32-bit os. so i choose the happy medium.

this is just advise no absolute facts of life from me.. sorry i cant be of more help.

also the next upgrade you do which may be in a year or later, i advise a core i7(unless a new line comes out) and just buy the 930 and overclock it, instead of the quad core 2.

Keep what you have now and keep saving for a complete overhaul. Motherboard, cpu, RAM, PSU (if necessary) and upgrade to a Core i3 i5 or i7. If you want additional performance now. Try overclocking what you have to get you by until you save the cash.

I'll take your Intel Core 2 Duo 2.00GHz processor beats my AMD Semphron 3000+ 1.8GHz any day :P also, I would like some extra RAM if you can spare some, my 750mb isn't quite cutting it

Honestly, I'd save up for a new motherboard, CPU and RAM.

sort of...The most current game I've played that didn't perform absolutely horrendous was Unreal Tournament 2004...so yeah, other than that I stick to games like Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 and Age of Empires 2 on my computer in terms of gaming, as it can't handle much else.
