Hi, I just can't make the decision...please help, my cpu is intel p4 3.08 ghz and video card is Radeon x1600 pro 512 mb , 4 gigs of ram and a good mobo that supports core 2 quad and duo. So, which one's MUST change first? I can't upgrade both at the moment... THANKS.

Usually video cards get upgraded then cpu's. in your case it would be better if both things were upgraded. but if you can only buy one thing i'd say the cpu

Damn, you sure that's your mobo? It has two PCI-e x16 slots AND supports Core 2 Quad.

Anyway, what's your budget?

Still it would be a hard choice. Get a radeon 4670 AND a really cheap C2D like a e2200

Just cause this guy on xtremesystems forum is taking offers on a E6600, but you need to provide something to prove you're trustworthy. I would check to see if your board supports 45nm CPUs, maybe with a BIOS flash like mine and get the E53/5400.

Well, the GPU will give you more smack for the dough than a CPU.
