program to view xbox live on PC

Is their a program to download that will let you view your xbox live profiles and talk to friends on the computer

currently you need an windows live compatible game to do this, this includes shadowrun, halo 2, gears of war. might be some others but with those you can view profiles, send messages, chat etc while in the game.

There were (are?) plans to release a live client that can be used out of these games, hopefully its on the way soon.
