'Project Zomboid' the next Minecraft hit?

Anyone tried this game yet? It's a zombie survival simulator where you.....try to survive (didn't see that coming aye?). The game looks really good so far, the annoying (or good) thing is it's going under the same slow update process as Minecraft. I'm just surprised it hasn't been talked about more. Anyone think it'll get big like Minecraft did? Looks good enough to do so.

Well Zomboid is still a tech demo so its a bit early to tell, but so far I love it. Ive played a few times and everytime I died in a different way. I have not really lasted that long becouse I find barracading myself in a store for example a bit boring so I prefer to explore. The devs seem really ambitious so this is a game that I am really excited to see develop. I love the fact that this is a game that straight out tells you, you will die, theres no way to win. Also the way the world is supposed to get worse and worse as time passes is an exteremely interesting idea.

It's neat, but it seems like it could get pretty tedious. I don't think it has as wide of an appeal as MC does.

Tried it last night , [spoiler] killed Kate with the pillow the first time just for laughs. [/spoiler] The second time the zombies got to her. Deffinetly gonna play more of it after Im done with my exams.

Dang, this game is intense. Got to making the soup, got distracted by the radio, kitchen started on fire, dragged wife out of bed planning to take her to the next house over, open door, swamped by zombies, abandon wife, run through door in kitchen, catch fire, eventually burn to death in the back yard. I must own this game. I wonder how in depth the crafting system is...Iantheone

It looks really good. I downloaded the demo but I'm still addicted to OoT over on my 3DS, but it looks like I'll buy this game as soon as the paid version goes back online.

The game's got massive potential and the tech demo was quite impressive. Think I played it like three times and died in very different ways every time, best one was:

[spoiler] When I got overrun while exploring the area during my first try, I ended up barricading myself in the house and continued on with the tutorial. When the oven set on fire I tried to drag the character's wife out, but just as I got to the front door the zombies broke through and charged towards me, it was like a total "holy ****" moment and I just sat there staring as both my character and his wife got eaten to death. Played the tech demo and thought it was awesome. If the devs can actually deliver all the features they've promised (which I believe they will), this game will be a big hit.

I think it's about time this game got a gamespot page.
