OK i decided to post about this in this forum because if i posted it in ps3 there wud be bias, same with 360, so my question is what would be better to buy in the long run, im pretty much broke and could buy a 360 from a friend for 200$, but im really wanting a ps3 for the blue ray, considering blue rays cost around the 1000 dollar mark.. kind of like buying a blue ray for half price that plays games? o well anyways, i want oppinions, and put into consideration a pretty tight budget lol. thanks

It sounds a bit like you've made up your mind. I still think you'll get a biased opinion in here. Having both... Gaming wise, 360 has more now, Ps3 has decent potential in the future. If blu-ray matters to you then I can see no fault in going with a PS3 and being patient as a gamer.

@Legolos_21 I say PS3 if you are on a budget all the time. It's going to end up less expensive in the long run. MS charges for anything and everything extra. Recharge kit for controllers, Internet play fees, wifi, etc.. Another reason the PS3 works out to be less is because it accepts 3rd party accessories. You can use any standard 2.5" hd, any usb keyboard, any bluetooth headset, etc.. The PS3 is actually a much better value. IMHO.. $200 for an X360 is not a bad deal though if it is at least the premium, I'd inquire if your friend has the extended warranty & if it is transferrable. That is a must with the X360.
