If it were 100% efficient yes but PSU aren't 100% efficient so I would use a 500Watt.

I recently used an Earthwatts 500Watt on a Quad core Q6600 and 9600GT.

I guess I have no choice but to get a new psu. My current psu (350 watt) has had served me very well on my present system which is around 6 years old, Pentium 4 2ghz, Ati Radeon 9600xt. I'm planning to make a MAJOR upgrade but won't hurt much my pocket, that was why I was asking if my current psu is still okay. Most probably I'll get one of those brandnames you've suggested. Thanks a lot guys for your tips.

It's not enough, but you don't have to go with antec or corsair. Both are overpriced. Find a good 550w or higher PSU on Newegg with a 5 egg rating and you'll be fine...

Even electrical engineers don't know everything. ;) How do you know they are not anyway. Got some device to read the minds of those who post?
