Q about screen res.

If I have a 720p tv and I switch the screen res to 1650x1080 will I be viewing 1080p.

I don't think the image will even display on your TV. There isn't a way to magically make your 720p TV go up to 1080p.

You should put your computer at 720p so the TV doesn't have to upscale or downscale the image at all.

I've seen some 1080 on my screen and a little of it hangs off to the sides but i can see just about the whole image.
