I have Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 (1333FSB), and my Motherboard and memory are capable of 1600FBS but running at 1333FSB in line with the current proccessor.

What I want to know...

Is it safe to run the CPU at 1600FSB, and if so what precations or ajustments do I need to make to prevent damage?

this would imply your trying to oc the cpu lol

1333 fsb is the stock and the 1600 is for when you try to overclock.

so if you want to push it by all means.. just get a cpu fansink some better thermal compound.. oh and read up on ocing your cpu :P
