Firstly I don't know where to post this question either PC and Mac Games or the PC hardware.

My question is:

If we play games with the XboX controller do we need to configure the control settings in the game? like configure this button the use is this.

and also if i buy the xbox 360 wireless controller do we need to buy a receiver?

thanks in advance ^^

just get a wired 360 controller, every game seems to be optimized for it its just plug and play... but most games will let you choose any configuration you want for the buttons. With the wireless one you will need a blu tooth adapter, but since your on a PC I don't think your going to be standing too far back from your monitor so its not really needed.

Its up to you and yeah if your laptop has a in built bluetooth adapter you're all set, I use the wired one for games like Batman and Dirt 2 as using a keyboard for those two games isn't a great experience at all.

The Xbox 360 controller does not operate on bluetooth, you will either need a wired controller or the wireless adapter.

You need an adapter. I have one myself :) I wouldnt recommend getting just the adapter, since its going for 38 bucks in Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows-Pc/dp/B000HZFCT2). You might as well just pick up this: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Xbox-Wireless-Controller-Windows-pc/dp/B000KA5T6A/ref=dp_cp_ob_vg_title_1 , 40 bucks, and you get an extra controller.

It'sbest suited for PC Hardware, since this topic doesn't relate to any PC or Mac Games. Many thanks. :)
