Q:About Xbox 360 Controller Connect to PC

Firstly I don't know where to post this question either PC and Mac Games or the PC hardware.

My question is:

If we play games with the XboX controller do we need to configure the control settings in the game? like configure this button the use is this.

and also if i buy the xbox 360 wireless controller do we need to buy a receiver?

The Xbox 360 controller does not operate on bluetooth, you will either need a wired controller or the wireless adapter.trick_man01
