From what I've played Quake Live is very polished.
For me it ran at a locked 60FPS with graphics equivalent to quake 3 on max settings.

Yeah, it's been pretty frustrating. I've been eagerly anticipating both, but I haven't seen any updates on either in quite a while. Oh, and I signed up but never got into either beta. :cry:
