Got 30 hours clocked so far and I can see that Getting a lot more.
Its a great game. Pace is as good as it will get and quite frankly, you hop you die. Too much to do.
The player ****s gets you to do the things you want and can do, the better players shift between ****s and objectives.
I'm still learning and even though you play the same maps every day its stays a challenge.
The only bad thing is getting team killed. But most of the times its an slip up. And you get a "Sorry".
Enjoy it. It rocks

Bunny Hopping is actually better done than BF2. In BF2 people were incapable of hitting you, but in Quake Wars bunny hopping will most likely get you killed. Strafe Jumping however is still available, it's a great way of getting to the battlefield even faster.
I'm really loving this game. If anyone only played BF2 for infantry maps, this game is a definite buy.
Can't say I've even noticed people bunny hopping, the pacing is fast and challenging which I like. I'd hate to play a game where you can go a match without dieing or struggling because it wouldn't be a challenge.
The only gripeI've got with the game is the jet packs the Strog have, I think they are unballanced, it's too hard to hit them and it seems to be the only vehicle where the player is exposed that you can't kill them. You can easily be killed while riding the Quad bike on GDF as well as the gunner on the Tank and Humvee.
As far as I can tell bunny hopping doesn't really get you anywhere anyway, it doesn't move you faster and just makes you look like a pillock.
As for hitboxes, I'm fairly sure that the Doom3 engine doesn't use hitboxes and rather does collision tests with the player model in the physics engine to determine a hit. Could be wrong but I'm sure I read that somewhere a while ago.
Have fun.
