I want to get headphones. Unfortunately I'm quite lost with all the manufacturers and technical features. :?
I'd use them for my TV, mostly for gaming, and also with my PC to listen to/make music.
Can you recommend anything below 100$?

I'm under the impression that headphones can somewhat simulate surround sound, true?
I'm most concerned about the sound-quality. I want something that does great bass and also has a nice clear sound. Wireless are a big plus but not necessary (wireless for TV).

Are these kind of headphones completely out of reach with a 100$ budget?
If yes, please still recommend something as long as it has good sound-quality. :)

Thanks!

You aren't going to get much better than these for around $100. I have them and they are great. I'd reccommend a soundcard too if you want high quality sound.

^Thanks for the suggestion.
Though someone in the comments said they have poor bass :(

Also I've heard that so called "gaming headphones" aren't really good after all.
Music is also a big part that I'd use my headphones on so I definitely want good music quality.

Some all around good 'phones would be great. :)

I use the Sennheiser HD-280 Pro headphones. Very clear and articulate sound, lots of mid presence and incredible bass that really kicks hard.

I use them with my Hi-Fi (connected to 360), main PC (with onboard 'HD' audio) and my old PC (poor onboard audio but still sounds great through these). Quite remarkable for headphones tbh.

The reason people say that is they have come to equate more bass == good bass. A good pair of headphones or speakers will have deep bass that is well controlled and balanced with the mids and treble. When you're used to a bassy/boomy headphone, a good headphone will sound "weak". But go listen to a real acoustic guitar, then come back to the headphones. The good, "weak" ones will sound real and the bassy ones sound thick and syrupy. It's a bit of an acquired taste for some, but once you come to appreciate good bass, it's hard to go back to boomy bass.
