Question about buying ships with real money in Star Citizen

Hey guys, so I'm wondering if you would be able to buy the ships for real money once the game is out? Or is this feature only a way to back the game further in development for now?

last i checked they will be selling ships until the game is near finished.

You'll be able to buy in game money with real money when the game comes out, which you'll be able to use to buy ships(and anything else of course).

You will be limited with the amount of credits you can buy at once,so you won't just be able to drop lots of cash and buy the best ship right away,but it's a good option for the people to get ships that don't want to or cant spend tens of hours worth of gameplay to earn them.

Also everything is earn able ingame nothing is will be locked behind a pay wall.

Nobody fully knows how it's going to work yet so the argument to whether it is good or bad is still up in the air,need to take the wait and see approach.

basically you are going to have all the pay 2 win folks with their super ships on day one pirating the shit out of the people that didnt pay 2 win. the game is going to be a massive clusterfuck at release and anyone that cant see that is blind.

give people the ability to grief, and they will.

You can buy credits with real money and then buy ships with those credits. But then you're going to have to deal with only being able to buy a certain amount of credits at a time. Not sure if the ships will be able to be bought with real money after the game releases, though.

Oh give it up already,it has already been proven you know nothing about this game yet come into every SC thread and spout the same crap.

What is winning?

Im personally going to become a trader and explorer grow my trade to allow me to buy larger ships and trade more to make more profit so i can gather a fleet of vessels.........how is somebody going to "win" me exactly are we going to have a trade off or something..

There is no win/lose in games like this, you choose a role and you live that roll,its not a team deathmatch you moron.

I have followed this game since november 2012 i know it's not pay 2 win because of actual knowledge and presented facts,you on the other hand are just spouting an opinion,just stop coming into these threads nobody cares after the 150th time of you coming out with the same crap.

If the game releases and you are right then by all means piss and moan,but you have no idea what will happen until the game is out.

@cyloninside: not everyone is going to be blowing everyone else up, people who paid thousands will be interested in protecting traders and killing griefers to make profit, the griefers have just as much to lose as everyone else and the same chance of it happening.

You won't be able to outright buy ships with cash once game releases from what I understand. They have also said that to combat the dirtbag's "gold farming" they will be selling credits for cash in limited amounts at the RSI store. It sounds like a very acceptable trade-off to me. Why people worry about this is pretty stupid. I would be far more concerned with the flight model and how the game actually handles.

Either they offer credits for sale to combat farming or the shitwads farm. Which is better? At least this way RSI can profit from the credits instead of some assmaster on the flopside of the planet.

@cyloninside: then I recruit real players to protect me as travel,Threre are player orgs that act as security forces or put a bounty on the griefing player then the players that are playing the role of bounty hunters go after the griefers,nd as if everyone playing the game is going to be out to grief..players actually want to PLAY the game.
