I was wondering if the colder a cpu is kept then the better the cpu would perform. Can anyone comfirm this?

Eh, my cousins accidently knocked my computer over and it caused the little fan that's attached to the cpu to come loose, ever since I fixed it though my frames per second on most applications has dropped quite a bit.

cooler is always better, especially on processors, the insulation between the lines on the chip are most effective when cold which stops interference, at least thats how i understand it. Basically the hotter it gets the lazier till it overheats and crashes

cooler allows you to put more voltage into it, which heats it up more, and if it gets hot enough, things start melting and such

if you knocked it over and it's affected the performance you might have dislodged the heatsink. Especially if it was hit hard enough to knock the fan off. You should open the case and reseat the heatsink.
