Hey guys, I need a little advice. I just bought an MW3 code off of ebay and here were the instructions.

DO EXACTLY THIS INSTRUCTIONS IN ORDER TO ACTIVATE: 1. Connect to your steam account 2. Download- https://hotfile.com/dl/155476464/658a321/USAIP.rar.html 3. Unrar, Run USAIP.pbk 4. Connect to "Ukraine PPTP" or "Ukraine L2TP ( User name & Password= demo ) 5. In Steam click- "Games", "Activate a Product on Steam". IMPORTANT- After you finish, open once again the VPN program, and click "Hang up". Your key is-

Enjoy and Please leave Feedback!

Did I buy a legit product? I haven't tried the instructions yet. When I used the product code on steam, it said the code wasn't available in my country (I'm USA). I'm a little weary of using this code and following the steps.

Id get your money back. Looks really dodgy.

From the looks of it, they want you to download a VPN client, once you connect using the software your basically giving control over to this ebay seller and he can do whatever he likes with your computer.

That is because you bought a russian key, and it can only be activated by VPN. I don't think you will necessarily be HACKED, but I do believe steam has banned entire steam accounts for bypassing region locks in this way.

If you've already paid and the auction didn't say it was a Russian code then file a claim with eBay and get your money back. Especially since he is linking you to something which may get you a virus or get your Steam account banned.

I'm going for the refund route and he is defending his product and already accusing me of re;orting him, ( I haven't gone there yet.) Hopefully things go smooth from here on out. Thanks for the advice guys.

someone is selling cheaper Russian keys for full price. I'd get a refund. I wouldnt jump through hoops to activate a game.
