What is the size/dimension of GTX 260, 275 and 285? Are they bigger or same size as the 9800GTX/9800GTX+?

depends which models, the old model 9800gtxs (like the one I have) are just as long but since then most of the ones you find are smaller.

Darn... I have a Zotac 9800GTX+ and the distance between the gpu and the harddisk bay panel is around 0.5cm only, it means if I want to change gpu, I have to buy a new casing.

I believe the 275 and 285 are both 10.5" long. The physical size of video cards is the most annoying spec to look up lol. I really wish sites would start listing the physical specs of cards in reviews and benchmarks since some cards are starting to get pretty damn big.

I agree with you.. and tech and gadgets are suppose to be smaller and more efficient, but gpu is getting bigger, lol. Besides, you sure the 275 and 285 is 10.5 inch long? Because I found out my 9800gtx+ is also 10.5 inch long.

That's what I've read from multiple reviews, at least for the 275. The 275 better be 10.5" because I just ordered it and anything longer won't fit in my case lol. It seems that 10.5" is generally the longest that gaming/enthusiast vid cards get, with a few exceptions like the 4850x2 lol.

I know the 4850x2 is very long, lol... And also my case can't fit anything longer than 10.5 inch as well, that's why I asked about the dimensions of newer cards. I just hope that they will shrink those coming high end gpu-s into smaller size so I could easily do my upgrade.

What gpu are you using now and When would you receive your card? Mind to report back whether it fits to your case or not?

I'm running an old ass P4 2.8ghz, Radeon X800 XT Platinum AGP, and 1.5gb rig lol. I'm FINALLY doing a complete overhaul, and my card should be here by Friday. If this thread is still relevant then, which it probably won't lol, I'll post here. I'll most likely just send you a PM though.

ya, those are all huge cards. If size is an issue the gts 250 is basically a 9800 gtx+ -1.5 inches.

I want to upgrade to a more powerful video card near future, that's why I am concern about the size. Before this I thought 9800gtx should be the largest size card that could go.
