question about gta 4

ok ive just bought gta 4

and im wondering do i need certain patches for mods?

and if i do need a certin patch what is the most common/best one

till patch 3 you can easily mod your game but I think from patch 4-7 moding is disabled, however, you can use moding patch to mod it (patch 4- patch 7)!!!

you need not install every patch, you can use any patch for your game. (activation required)

I think from patch 5 or 6 you don't have to use rockstar games social club for launching the game.

All the patches have fixes to bugs and the best patch is patch 7, improved graphics but demands a lot on your GPU.
