I don't know much about that brand of power supply, but it looks like you should be fine if you use the molex to 6-pin adapter in concert with the PCI-E 6-pin that the PSU already has. GTX 460 barely needs the 2nd PCI-E power plug anyways. Like 10-15 watts less and it could've done with a single 6-pin if I'm not mistaken. TDP of the card is 160 watts. The PCI-E slot can supply 75 watts, the 6-pin can supply 75 as well. So you're at 150 watts there without the help of the 2nd 6-pin connection.

Go for it.

The psu cost me £25 lol, but if u look it seems like it has a good amount of amperage and also i would of thought 650 watts is plenty. Btw i plan on oc'ing the card as well, so i hope i wont have any problems :S

Wattage means almost nothing. A good 450W with an 80plus cert and 35amps on 12v lines can be alot better than a noname 650W psu with 60-70% efficiency and 20-25Amps on the 12v lines Real question here is what the efficiency of that Psu is and how many amps it has on the 12v lines ( if i'm not mistaken gtx460 needs at least 24amps on 12v lines ) So while with that Psu seems to be ok for 1 gtx460 i wouldnt advice going sli on that

Why are people posting all this stuff about not going SLI on that PSU? Of course you wouldn't. The OP didn't say anything about SLI.

it will work, the two extra pin is for grounding thus the card will still be fully powered

Well, it has about 39 amps on both the 12v lines, so even when i oc it i should be more than ok..i cant sli anyway, my motherboard doesnt support it. Thanks for helping guys :P

I Have a OCZ 600w PSU with +12V @ 18A. I went from a GTS250 (runs good) to a GTX460 (BSOD on windows logo). So my question is do I need a 500w +12V @ 24A or was the card DOA ?

The Bios boots normal, it's when windows is about to start up when the BSOD appears for one second then computer tries to reboot. When i reinstall my old GTS250 every thing works.

BSOD = Blue Screen Of Death
