like okay dude getting hacked is very uncommon.. heckers like to target big fish not tiny fish.. theyd sooner hit a pc at a company or a public place like a cyber cafe than a single home.. 9/10 those are directed attacks by someone you KNOW. anyway hacked over a local lan is pretty hard to pull off as theyd basically need to be in the same building as you so its not hard to miss, second of all hackers cant attack someone through a program often they sue programs to send malicious things at you then use those to generate gaps in your security they can climb through to get at you.

so unless you using pc's in public places, your work has bad net security, or your web security tools poop their pants 9/10 your fine

and if they were infiltrating your network no your bandwidth wuldnt be effected 9/10 bandwidth dips as a result of heavy traffic and the ISP level, throttling by your ISP (this is when they downplay connections to certain services to conserve bandwidth (ex. roger throttles connections to WoW servers to give other users more bandwidth)), you have many programs accessing the net at once, someone is stealing your wireless signal and generating ALOT of traffic, and finally your pc(s) are laden with spyware.

tada you ahve been enlightened.. you want mroe help pm me or reach me on steam my id is: TheCrazyGuy
