Specs:

AMD 64 3400+ 2.4 Ghz

1GB of DDR1 400Mhz RAM

X1950pro

My friend told me i got crap ram. I am thinking of upgrading my ram, but should i save up and buy a new processor, motherboard and ram?

Should i just buy new 1 GB of ram or upgrade my whole computer?

If i am going to upgrade my processor, mother and ram i am thinking of gettign Q6600 and DDR2 ram and a motherboard

So which one would you guys chose which idea is better?

One more question, is my CPU bottlenecking my graphic card?

I owuld just save for the new setup and not worry about the RAM for your older PC.

I think your friend told you wrong. DDR2 isn't that much faster than DDR. In fact you'd need at least DDR2 800 to marginally surpass DDRs speed. In order to tell whether your CPU is bottlenecking your GPU is to run 3dmark and compare that score to other computers with that video card but faster processor. If your score is significantly lower than it's bottlenecking, if it's only a few hundred lower than it is not.
