should work alright, I'm pretty sure BF2 cd keys are tied to the user account not the computer.

As long as you're not trying to play with the same CD-Key, online, with both computers, you shouldn't have any trouble.

EA games especially will track the CD key online, so if you try to play on another computer, it'll notice that the IP address isn't the same as originally used and punkbuster will kick you off if I'm not mistaken.  When I switch an online game to another system, I uninstall off the other computer.

I doubt that's true, I have a dynamic IP so it changes every few days and I've never had problems with punkbuster. Also two computers in the same house would share the same external IP.

It doesn't track your IP address as many people use dynamic IP to connect.

When you register the game to play online you tie your CD-key to your account. You can install the game on as many computers as you like (home PC, laptop, work :)), but can only ever use one at a time because you have to login with your account name. If someone else connects using your account, the first person to login with it will be kicked out of the game.
