Will my tv shows record while im playing games and stuff? I bought me a tv tuner.

Depends on the HTPC software you are using. But msot will allow you to schedule your shows, and yes, they will record while you do other things. Kepe in mind that recording will use hard drive bandwidth and some CPU cycles, so you might experience slightly longer loading times/lower FPS.

I would recommend The built in Windows Media Center app in windows Vista/Windows 7.
