My new pc came with Vista and only has 1gb of RAM in it.

Would upgrading to 2gb's give me a boost in my FPS count?

I got this new pc mainly for WoW and it runs everything perfect on the highest settings, but when Im in a city or town the fps drops to the 30's, I assumed it was because vista eats more ram than XP so I might need more.

Here are my specs if u need to know.

Pentium D 925 3.0ghz

1gb RAM

7600gt (at a 1440x900 resolution)

From my experiance... I had a AMD X2 4200+ 1gb ram and a 7600GS and I noticed a HUGE jump from 1gb to 2gb. this is in Vista 32bit btw.

Getting 2GB will definitely improve your performance, especially since Vista eats more resources than XP. Not sure how much of an improvement you'll see though.

You'll definitely want 2GB of RAM if running Vista..it helps a heck of allot. Vista will drain sources and then when you have the game ope that'll drain sources to. So i think you'll notic a little performance boost.

With my XP machine, there was a serious boost from 1gb to 2gb, but RAM had some unused space. At that time, performance did not boost that great after 1.3GB of RAM. But because Vista needs memory, 2GB should be the max for WoW with little improvement pass 2GB.

You'll notice a nice boost. Vista will run faster, your games will load and run a little faster. It's a good idea to have 2 GB's in your computer.
