First off, let me say my video card sucks. Its some Intel thing.. But anyways when i try to watch HD movies it crashes. When it crashes the screen goes black for a second or two then the resoultion changes and everything is huge & the colors are different. A simple restart fixes that. But the question is, if i change the resolution to something higher (1152 by 864 , 1280 by 720 , 1280 by 768 etc.) Would i be able to watch HD video?

what is the max resolution that your monitor can support? set the video to play at the same resolution as your monitor.

Opps thanks,

but about the videos (http://games.teamxbox.com/xbox-360/1464/DiRT/#movies) it dosent say which resolution it is. But just out of curiousity(sp?) would it be able to support HD (the video card) because i may get a bigger & better monitor and not in the mood to get a new computer (why not just get a new vid card? because its built-in :( ) so yeah just basically thinking ahed.

a new video card may allow it to RUN smooth, but that wont increase your monitor res.
