I'm considering to buy a 20" or so widescreen LCD monitor for my PC and Xbox 360 but I have some questions about the quality and cables. Should I go for the VGA cables so I can connect the xbox via the DVI input jack on a standard LCD monitor or buy a HDTV/monitor that has the component inputs so I could use the xbox's own cabling?

Is the image pixelated, is there any ghosting or overscan etc? Thanks.

I am currently using a 19 inch monitor for my computer and my 360. I bought the 360 VGA cable at best buy and it works great. The only problem is that I have to unplug my computer monitor and conect the vga cable every time I switch from my pc to my 360. But it looks great. No problems. However, for christmas I am hoping to upgrade to a 24 inch monitor. If you haven't bought a monitor yet, at least go for a 22 inch. The bigger the better. Belive me. A 20 inch will only look smaller every time you look at it. Best of luck sir.

well the VGA cables won't hook up to your Dvi slot...unless you have the 360 elite....cuz HDMI easily converts to dvi with a $10 part.....but yea other than that i perfer a moniter to a tv, it's more of a personal experience this way....
