Ok. Here are the parts I plan to use. I'd just like you guys to pick through them and offer any advice and help that you can. :)

Antec 300 Case
Link

Gigabyte GA-EP43-DS3LR Mobo
Link

Intel Pentium e5200 CPU (not C2D, but close enough)
Link

Thermaltake Purepower 600w PSU
Link

Corsair XMS2 4gb RAM
Link

Palit 9800gt OC GPU
Link

The HDs I'm not sure about, I'll probably just go for a WD 500gb. What do you guys think of that so far? A monitor isn't planned yet, I'm still not 100%, so I'd be happy if you'd be able to recommend some within this general budget.

All help is appreciated. :)

I'm not really sure, because what I did with those parts was I found the links on newegg to show here, but I'm actually buying from an english site. It comes to about 600£-ish right now for me. I guess about 100£? Around 150 dollars.

Then look for any 20inch LCD Monitor, those will run you around $150, You probably can't get a 22 or up for $150, so You'll have to get a 20inch or less, I could find you a couple I think are good if you would like.

20" is probably the largest I could go with the size of this desk anyway. Large resolutions in gaming don't bother me, so 1680x1050 would be really high. A 1440x900 would do the job for most things I think.

Here you go.. you may need to search for this monitor on a European site, but this is a good monitor, and will work great. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009126

your processor is fine to suit that rig. but what would be BETTER suited would be an e8400. probs about 100 dollars more for a 30% increase in performance. otherwise nice. you should be able to run all the latest games maxed

try geetting the core 2 duo E7400. Its only $40 more, if u can afford it. It'll be a big increase from a old pentium.

Ok, I've made the decision to switch to an e7400. Is there anything else that could be improved on or is that it? Thanks for all the help.

Western Digital Caviar Black hard drivers are pretty good, the 500GB runs at around $70, and the 1TB runs around $109. They may not be the fastest on the market, but they are reasonablly priced and are very reliable and well made drives. Also, thanks for pointing out that mobo I don't remember seeing that particular mobo when I was looking and that would be perfect for a system I am building for my parents. Although, you might want to check the link on your mobo as it keeps going to the Antec Three Hundred case. You also might want to look at the Lancool PC-K7B it a little bit more expensive ($89.99 on sale now), but offers a nice cooling system and a good expandable setup.
