questions about Bad Company 2 and balance???

So I bought battlefield 2 like three months ago

I could really never get into it because every I would join and squad and we went to attack something I would get blown up by a tank or helicopter

So my question is bad company 2 the same thing with a heavy reliance on vehicles or is it more infantry combat with vehicles?

I find it to be much more balanced, its not like in BF2 were jets basically DOMINATED the entire game with constant bombing runs.
