Hi there, i had the same card as you do. After updating to a stronger one (HD6850), the only improvment is in frame-rate. In general, though performance may vary, if you put itat the same settings with a more powerful card, you should get the same image quality. Most racing games out there are made with consoles in mind, so it's no wonder there are no large differences in the graphical quality.
NFS Hot Pursuit in special is a lousy port; if the game is dated, blame the software. For example, this game uses a lighting technology that enables the fancy sirens and a lot of tiny other light sources but that's incompatible with traditional anti-aliasing methods under DX9.It therefore uses a blur method that does not work to hide the jagged edges.

I mean, still arcade type like NFS and GRID, but with graphics that look updated to the capabilities of the latest $200 cards.
[QUOTE="DanielDust"]There are no realistic games also for NFS it looks way better than it did 3-4 years ago, The Run will look even better (tho I doubt it'll be anything good unlike Shift 2). If you want to test your graphics card, get Metro 2033, Arma 2, Crysis 1, FSX, Witcher 2 and Shogun 2.Starshine_M2A2'Realistic' is a broad term. Realistic in terms or physics, visuals, setting, story or history? Define your terms and then you may post. Might be hard to understand this thread but @_@ I cracked the code, he was talking about graphics, I'd say get a clue but it might be too hard for some to understand from the TCs posts.
